After getting my D5100 I tried in-camera HDR option (in JPEGs) but it was disappointing. Few days back I was watching some tutorial by Alan Kesselhaut and wanted to give HDR a try again with bracketed RAW images. After first trial I cannot say that I achieved what I want but definitely it is one step forward than in-camera HDR. Here are Some trials (and obvious errors) with HDR.
