Wish you all a very happy and prosperous new year 2013. Love and peace for all. Hopefully you all had a great time on new year's eve and the new year started with a good note.
I went to Dubai after office, the plan was to capture Fire works of Burj Khalifa. There were millions of people who had the same wish (atleast to watch the beauty if not to capture). It was a big fight to reach a good location. Finally we (me with my friends) decided to go to Business Bay area instead of the Dubai mall / Downtown area - with an expectation of relatively less crowd and a good view.
I managed to get these images of the spectacular fire works:
Honestly, these are not amongst the best images which you could possibly find on web upon searching, but these are the best what I could manage on that occasion.
In the images and the video, you can see the crowd - now multiply the crowd with thousand, that was the reality and we experienced them on our way back. Anyways, it was a good experience overall. During set-up and waiting period, I tried to capture one more time lapse sequence, result in flickr.
On 1st of January, we went to Dubai mall to celebrate one of my very close friend's birthday, this time the crowd was negligible as compared to what we experienced 12 hours before.
